This Rampside Pickup is a 1963 and we found it in Portland, Oregon. At the time my Inlaws lived in Portland and we visited regularily which is about a 5 hour drive from Vancouver. My wife was a little surprised when I popped out to look at something and showed up with ‘another’ car. So long as she didn’t have to drive home the Mini Van, I would have to figure out a plan. U Haul Tow Dolly worked like a charm for the drive home.
It is an original California vehicle which is 100% Rust Free and as the pictures show is undergoing a complete restoration
At some point the Rampy was upgraded to a 140 HP with the secondaries blocked. We will install a 110 HP which will be a little better than the original 80 HP engine to go with the 4 speed transmission
The paint will be the same clour as our 1972 GMC Pickup which can be seen elsewhere on this site
Plan is to paint the inside of the box the same Red body colour with a textured bed liner on the floor.
Complete nut and bolt restoration has taken longer than expected…but we were doing 4 restorations at the same time on the 1962 Wagon, 1966 Corsa Convertible and the 1972 GMC Pickup.
